Ethnobotany in Kaeng Krachan forest complex (Thailand): rare, endemic and threatened plant species used by indigenous people

ABSTRACT : This study is part of an ethnobotany study carried out in Kaeng Krachan forest complex. This forest complex is located in south - western Thailand on the Tenessarim mountain
range. During this study 628 different species used by indigenous people have been identified.
Among these species 37 are classified as rare, endemic and threatened, such as the newly
identified Prunus kaengkrachanensis Nagam., Tagane & Suddee.
