ABSTRACT
The research of long - term forest ecology by using permanent plots from the Department of the National parks, wildlife and plants conservation (DNP) has been proceeded by National Park Research and Innovation Center since 2010 majorly aimed at representing the ecology study of conserved forests in Thailand and monitoring the climate change impact. The permanent plot setting has combined with ecology approach in align with geographic information system (GIS). The selection is based on the location and plot sample that is synced with the size pixel in satellite imagery, tree location and tree canopy covers in the plot samples, which are in line with global position system in Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinating system as well as dispersing analysis, plot covering space and other related spatial analysis. At present, the permanent plot proceeding covers 38 plots in 33 national parks and in 1 wildlife sanctuary in 9 different forest types.
